Featured Project

Rural Hospital Evaluation

The Iowa FLEX Program is intended to preserve access to health care services, improve quality of rural health services, and foster a rural health delivery system that is both efficient and effective.  The Center for Evaluation and Research evaluates the FLEX program on an annual basis to ensure program improvement.  Part of the evaluation is the completion of a needs assessment which assessed quality improvement, financial performance, community engagement and other needs.  Staff also conducted interviews with stakeholders and Critical Access Hospital Quality Improvement staff about the Iowa FLEX program.
