Kellee McCrory, MPH, MSW and Anne Abbott, MPP, will lead the workshop “How to Evaluate a Public Health Program AND Keep Your Sanity” at the Iowa Governor’s Conference on Public Health on April 12th, 2016.  Their workshop will teach public health professionals across the state about the purpose of evaluation, the components of a program logic model, the basic steps in designing an evaluation plan, and effective use of data sources.  The workshop will provide hands-on opportunities to create logic models, performance measures, and evaluation plans.

Abbott will also co-present a poster, “Utilizing Online Partner Networks to Improve Hypertension and Diabetes Outcomes in Iowa” with Iowa Department of Public Health Health Systems Coordinator, Terry Meek.  Abbott and Meek developed the poster in conjunction with the ongoing evaluation of IDPH’s Chronic Disease Partnership grant.
