The Iowa Department of Education has released the findings from the 2014 School Health Profiles. The School Health Profiles are part of a national initiative by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to assess policies and practices related to health and wellness in schools across the country. Staff from the University of Iowa Center for Evaluation and Research worked with the Iowa Department of Education to publish a report of the findings from the two surveys that make up the School Health Profiles, the Principal Survey and the Lead Health Teacher Survey. A number of issue specific fact sheets are also available on the Iowa Department of Education Website.
